Celebrate Fall in a Maze!

From September 16th through November 4th, you’re invited to navigate a gigantic interactive puzzle known as the Miss-Lou Maze Craze in a cornfield in Vidalia.  Bring your family and friends for a walk through this strategically cut area as you weave through trails that twist, turn, and dead end. The corn stalks are high enough that you can’t see over them as you try to find your way out, although smaller kids can roam the Munchkin Maze which is cut into a soybean field and just the right height to see over the crops. If you dare, go through the Haunted Maze, or stroll through the pumpkin patch, or just sit by the campfire pits trading ghost stories.

What a great way to spend a fall day! Schools and daycares, as well as other groups and clubs, are welcome weekdays from 9am until 2pm and reservations are required. The Miss-Lou Maze Craze is open to the public on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6-10pm and on Sunday from 2-6pm.

This amazing cornfield is basically a puzzle comprised of wide trails cut into approximately 10 acres. The maze itself is an intricate design and was developed using a Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) system. When viewed from the air, it reveals a hot air balloon in keeping with the theme of the Great Mississippi River Balloon Race, another fine fall event in this area.

The big maze is divided into sections and the average time spend navigating the cornfield is about an hour. However, if you get lost, there are numerous Corn Cops available to help you get back on the right path.

Be forewarned that there is a zero tolerance attitude about cutting through the corn. Netting has been placed to protect it and if you are caught cheating, you and your group will be promptly escorted out. Be sure to wear casual, comfortable clothing and good walking shoes. You may want to bring a flashlight and some bug spray but the Maze Craze will have a variety of snacks, cold drinks, water, and glow sticks available for purchase. All the trails are wide enough to accommodate wheel chairs and are also relatively smooth.

Call today for more information or to reserve a time for your group at (318) 336-5935.  This is one aMAZing event you’ll be returning to the entire season!
